Nearly an Instructor: The Divecon
The DiveCon (short term for Dive Control Specialist), is just the assistant every Instructor is looking for. As soon as the course is finished, you will be given the possibility to carry out theory lessons all by yourself, as well as conducting Pool lessons and several different training programs.
Besides teaching, the opportunity to get to know the SSI Education System and glimpsing into the subaquatic industry, beyond diving itself, is a great chance to gain new and helpfull knowledge.
While your skills in taking care for beginner divers as a Divemaster are a good foundation, during the course you will develop your own way to instruct and supervise others. A big part of a student´s Open Water course can then be conducted by you.
If you want to take the step towards becoming an Instructor, many of the things you will do, are already part of your daily routines and capabilities, so the ITC (Instructor Training Course) will not be a challenge for your competence.
